Quotes

Three ways to display quotes.

What you need to know about Brightspot quotes

There are three types of quotes available in Brightspot. This is a great way to highlight important content or create emphasis.

1. Default Quote

Under pull quote content, select the "Quote" option. This is the most basic quote type and only the attribution alignment can be manipulated.

We deliver experiences that elevate lives at BYU and beyond.

A Word of Caution

It's best to use short quotes as seen above to avoid leaving one or two words on the second line as shown below. This also shows how adjusting the attribution justification can lead to it feeling disconnected from the quote itself.

True disciples of Christ are willing to stand out, speak up, and be different from the people of the world.
Russell M. Nelson

2. Quote Card

This shows the pull quote content type "Quote, Card."

These are especially good for breaking up long content due to the nature of the drop shadow. However, the drop shadow can also be disabled. Text color can be changed and you can add any background color. Attribution images will always remain above the text.

3. Fullwidth Quote

This is the third pull quote content type "Quote, Fullwidth."

The first example has centered text alignment while the second is left aligned. You can also change the color of the text and the background. Adding attribution pictures is also an option for this content type.

True disciples of Christ are willing to stand out, speak up, and be different from the people of the world.
Russell M. Nelson
As you choose to let God prevail in your lives, you will experience for yourselves that our God is “a God of miracles."
