Add a Shared Content Module

Add the same content in multiple locations but edit in just one place.

Create a Shared Module

  1. Open the search window by clicking in the Search field at the top of the screen.
  2. In the bottom left, under the Create heading, change the dropdown to say Module.
  3. Click the New button.
  4. In the New Module window, add a Name for your module.
  5. Choose the correct Type from the dropdown. This tutorial uses Rich Text, but there are many other useful options, such as List and Promo.
  6. Add the appropriate content to your module.
  7. Click Publish in the top right.

Add a Shared Module to a Page

  1. Go to a new or existing Page.
  2. Under the Content heading, click the +Add button to add a new content block.
  3. In the new content window, scroll down to the Misc section and click Shared.
  4. Search for your module by clicking the magnifying glass under the Module heading.
  5. Click on the name of your shared module. Close the window.
  6. Your shared content should appear on the page.

Create a Shared Module on the Fly

An alternate method to what's shown in the video is to create the shared module as you're editing a page. This works the same for most items you might search for—the search window usually gives you the option to create new content as you need it.

  1. Without creating a shared module first, follow the instructions above to add a shared module to a page.
  2. When you search for the shared module instead of clicking on the name of your module (since you have not yet created it) click on the New Module button in the bottom left of the window.
  3. Follow the steps to create and publish your module.
  4. Click the Back to... link at the top of the screen to close the new module window and go back to the page you were editing.
  5. Click the name of your newly created module and close the search window.
