Brightspot Update - New Image Sizing

We are excited to announce the release of a new Brightspot update, with new features that offer more flexibility and a wider range of image display options. With these enhancements, you'll have greater control over how images are presented in your articles and lists.

Article Images

When it comes to adding images to your articles, we've added more flexability to customize their appearance. Simply click on the image icon, and then scroll down to find the "Enhancement Styles" section. Open the drop-down menu labeled "Enhancement Image Sizes" to see the new options.

In addition to adjusting the vertical size of your images, we've introduced two additional styles to choose from for your articles. Opt for the "Medium Promo" style to showcase a larger-than-standard image that captures attention. Alternatively, select "Full Width" to have an image that stretches across the entire width of the screen, creating an impactful visual experience.

Image on Top Sizes

One of our most popular list styles, "Image on Top," now supports different image sizes, fulfilling a highly requested feature. Users can now switch between the default image, a square image, or a vertical image for their lists, providing greater flexibility in visual presentation.

To experience this new feature, follow these steps:

  1. Add a list using the "Card, Image on Top" template.
  2. Scroll down to the "List Style" section and ensure that the template is set to "Card, Image on Top."
  3. Continue scrolling until you find the dropdown menu labeled "Image Style."
  4. From the dropdown, select the desired image option for your list.

Card, Image Only Grid

Additionally, we have made a nice addition to the "Card, Image Only" list style. Now, images within this list style will stretch and seamlessly connect with each other, filling the width with the line they are on. This new option is available for lists with 2-4 images, and if desired, they can be stacked as well.

To apply this change to your list, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new list using the "Card, Image Only" template.
  2. Scroll down to the "List Style" section and open the dropdown menu.
  3. Verify that the template is set to "Card, Image Only."
  4. Scroll down further and locate the toggle labeled "Full Width Grid Form."
  5. Activate the toggle to enable the grid layout for your images.
