Audio content types allow audio files to be played directly on your site.
Uploading a New Audio
Audio is used less frequently than other content types like attachments and images. Audio files can be uploaded via bulk upload or by creating a new Audio content type. To create a new Audio, select the plus sign next to the main search bar in the Brightspot editor, then select the Audio content type.
Editing an Audio Content Type
Once your Audio content has been created, you will be presented with the following settings menu.
- Provider - Choosing HTML5 brings up the option of uploading an audio file.
- Headline - The desired name of the audio file.
- Sub Headline - Similar to a sub headline on an article.
- Thumbnail - Allows you to add an image that will show up with your audio on a page.
- Promo Styles - Allows you to edit how the audio file will appear in a promo, similar to the settings of any promo you'd add to a page.
When you are satisfied with the contents of this section, select the Save option to allow the audio file to be used in other modules.
