The BYU Websites Team has created a lot of training and help content so that you can create your site as smoothly as possible. Brightspot also has its own documentation, however, there are some things that are custom-built for BYU, and Brightspot may not have its documentation. In cases like these, we usually create content.
This guide shows the available resources that you have at your disposal.
Quick start tutorials are made for those who are brand new to Brightspot can quickly understand the basics and can start creating their site. We highly encourage everyone to go through all of these tutorials.
These tutorials are a little more advanced than the quick start tutorials and cover more information that most but not all will need. It is also recommended to view these to get more experience in Brightspot.
If you need to learn anything in detail, this is the place to go! Feature guides cover a multitude of topics but focus on the different Brightspot content types that are available to you. These will help you set up any sort of content you'll need for your site.
The UI demo shows all of the different content types visually so you can get an idea of how they will look on your site.
Q&As are meant to be a random assortment of questions and tutorials. You can either browse them or search using the keywords of your question. Check here first before asking the web team for assistance.
