You've been hard at work, making your website just how you want it, and now you're ready to make it live! Congratulations! Launching a site only takes a few simple steps.
Note that publishing a site is not the same as publishing a page. Publishing your site will allow users to navigate your site at your chosen subdomain URL, while publishing a page creates a new URL within that subdomain where that page can be viewed.
Launching a Site
Site launches happen every Thursday and we require that you send a request before the Monday of that launch week in order for Brightspot to be able to provision the domain name in time.
To launch your site, please fill out the launch form linked below.
Once the form has been received and processed, we will add your site to the launch list. If you have any questions about the timeline of your site launch, please contact us at websites@byu.edu.
After Launch
After your site is launched, we will send you an email to notify you of the launch. This will enable some functionality not available in the pre-launch state, notably access restriction and CAPTCHAs. Feel free to email us at websites@byu.edu for any questions or problems that you might run into, even after your site launches.
