Tags

Note: For this to work, you will need to be an admin of multiple sites. You CANNOT do this unless you have access to all of the sites that you would like these Tags to be on.

Tags are words or phrases used for organizing or marking related content. They can help in sorting, searching, and filtering content.

Employee pages can be organized using employee groups or tags. This allows dynamic lists to automatically pull and sort them. Employees can also be sorted alphabetically by their last name, the newest published, the oldest published, or page views (highest to lowest).

The most common way to display tags is using the “Tag Cloud” list module. This allows the text color, button, background, and title of tags to be edited. One example of a tag cloud can be seen below, on the Resources page of the MA Chaplaincy Site.

Yes. This can be helpful when creating a Shared Content Module or tagging articles on a particularly large site. The tags help curate content as articles can appear in multiple dynamic lists.

To add a tag to content, first you need to create the tag. This can be done by selecting the “Tag” option from the Brightspot Dashboard. The option to create a new tag can be found under “Quick Start” on the top of your main dashboard. After creating a tag, it can be added to any page, article, employee, or other item by selecting the “+” button found under Tags on the page. Once the “+” button has been selected, you can use the search icon to find your pre-created tag. Tags can also be created directly from this window by selecting “New Tag” in the bottom left hand corner.
