Shared modules are modules that are created and be shared across the site on any page. With shared modules, you can make it once, then copy it over to as many pages as you need.
Before you can actually share a module, you will need to create one (to learn more about modules and how to create modules, see the feature guide here).
Incorporating Shared Modules
Once your module is created, it is time to share it across multiple pages. To add a shared module do the following:
- Click on the + icon on your page to add content
- At the bottom of the list of content options, there will be a misc option, select it.
- There will be a new list that appears, click on the Shared option.
- Once it adds, click on the dropdown arrow of your new content and select the module you would like to add.
This is the main use for shared modules, but they can be incorporated in a few other ways.

Shared Modules in Rich Text
Another handy feature of shared modules is being able to insert them directly into the Rich Text content type. Some page types, such as articles, only allow Rich Text on their pages and being able to insert shared modules is handy in case an article requires a little more content.
To add a module in Rich Text, click on the block icon (as seen in the photo on the right). From here, Brightspot will ask you to select which module you would like to insert. It will give you a list of modules that you have created, select which one you'd like to add in.
This feature is especially useful for inserting custom HTML/CSS/JS into an article.

Shared Modules in Aside and Belows
Shared modules can also be used in the aside and belows on your site pages. Once your aside and/or below is set up, select the shared option from the dropdown menu. This will allow you to select the module that you would like for your aside or below. In general, across Brightspot, the shared option means that it will be a shared module.
